It’s All About the Plaid, Plaid, Plaid…

I have a huge obsession with plaid. It’s such a casual piece in my closet and you can style it in so many ways. I’ve worn this flannel with a skater skirt, shorts, over a romper and just regular denim jeans. I never thought I would buy a cute a red plaid shirt like this one from Target. I usually buy everything besides clothes there but I’m super satisfied with my purchase. Plaid is everywhere in every store so definitely add this into your fall collection this year.

I wore this outfit to a local harvest fair with my sister and her family. That day was extremely hot for a Fall weekend in the Midwest but I’m not complaining. I love this outfit because it is super casual and stylishly effortless which works for me. What is your favorite Fall fashion piece?

It’s All about the Necklace.

IMG_0506 -- 01Hi Lovelies!

Today I decided to share pictures of my favorite necklace. I bought this beautiful necklace from a couple of months ago. I just couldn’t decide how I wanted to style it with. All I know is that I wanted a fierce and confident look since the necklace makes such a bold statement.

Silver necklaces like this is no stranger to me and like everyone else, it was always a fashion must have. My mother use to love dressing us up in our Hmong costumes and we would take pictures in them. Most summers, after school is done, my mom, my two sisters and I would sit around in the living room and sew our own Hmong costumes. The details are very important and the colors are extremely vital in how the result of the costume will look. Through this, I learned to be patient and sew every detail the way my mom would show me. In the end, the results paid off as my work has turned into a beautiful costume waiting to be worn during the Hmong New Year. The silver necklace is the most important piece to our costume as it symbolizes wealth and success. Although, I don’t know how these necklaces are made, I just know it takes a lot of work and the intricate details are stunning to look at.

Hmong sistersHere is a simple picture of my younger sisters and I sporting the newer version of Hmong clothes and of course, the silver necklace to complete the outfit. It’s very similar to the modern look that it has taken on in many stores but I know that this piece was in our culture for many years and I am glad that it has influenced today’s fashion.

What is your favorite piece of jewelry that you have in your closet?

A Floral Attraction

Hi Lovelies!

Kimonos have been trending these days and it is such a great piece to work with. It’s flowy, has beautiful and fun patterns, and it goes with about anything. I paired my kimono with a black romper and black heels. I could have easily worn flat gladiator sandals or regular flip flops and it would have still look dressy but the heels will do. Hope you like this outfit and tell me your favorite kimono that you have in your closet. =)

Happy July 4th!!

Independence is a beautiful thing, isn’t it? This year, my siblings and I gathered a local park where they had a carnival, fair food and an awesome view of the fireworks show for the holiday. I certainly love holidays like this where I can spend it a loving family and enjoy my time off from work, stress, and homework. What did you guys do for the holiday?

Make-Up Remover Loves

1.Beyond Belief (B2) 2. Bioderma Makeup Remover 3. Clinique Makeup Remover 4. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towlettes
1.Beyond Belief (B2) 2. Bioderma Makeup Remover 3. Clinique Makeup Remover 4. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towlettes

I am a make-up remover hoarder just the same as make-up as well. I didn’t realize this until I was cleaning my vanity and saw that I had so many samples of make up remover. I usually buy them in small travel size packs only because it’s easier to bring with and its cheap. Here are four that I really like over the years and usually gear towards to buy.

1. Beyond Belief (B2) – So I actually love the towlettes versions for make up removers because it’s easier to have then try to find a cotton ball and having to douse it on. The towlettes has a refreshing smell and is soft against the skin. I usually use this when I have extremely heavy make-up on and it definitely does the job.

2. Bioderma – OMG. If it wasn’t for Jenn from EmJustLikeYou video on her faves, I wouldn’t have found this bottle of awesomeness. Not only is it great for sensitive skin, it rubs off the make-up like foundation blush, and eye shadows like nothing. There is no scent so that makes it nice once in a while because sometimes my skin reacts to certain chemicals badly and sometimes it’s because of the scent that it provides. I really love this bottle but it is a little bit on the pricy side. So unless you are looking to spend a little extra on remover but works well with sensitive skin that this is the one for you.

3. Clinique Eye Make-Up Remover – I’m an eye makeup extremist. I love the dramatic smoky eye look when I go out so when it is time to take it off, this is my go to bottle. I discover this a while back when I grabbed a sample from the Clinique kiosk and when i finally used it, I fell in love instantly. This really takes off the eye liner or stubborn mascara that won’t come off but it does the work and that is why it’s on my TOP 4.

4. Neutrogena Cleansing Makeup Remover – This is my go to every day make up remover. It’s at a pretty decent price and I am a Neutrogena Girl so I have pretty much all the products that it has to offer. It’s again a towelette version of make up removers so it’s a bonus since I rather have the pads. I use this when I have my every day makeup on which is pretty much foundation, light eyeshadow, mascara and bronzer.

There are so many products and different versions of makeup removers that its hard to narrow down to which ones actually work for you. These were my TOP 4 and I hope this was somewhat resourceful and maybe will encourage you to go out and try one of these. =)

Have a wonderful day.

Happy belated Thanksgiving! I love this holiday because it gives us such a GREAT excuse to gobble into food coma with no regrets. Well, I like to think so, but besides the food, I enjoy great company and I love the time I get with my family & friends. This was my first time in a long time that I had the time off away from BLACK FRIDAY to spend with my wonderful family and it was indeed a great time.

Normally, on this wonderful and filling holiday, my family would get together and cook a big meal but due to certain circumstances, we decided to switch things up a little. We booked two suites, one for the boys and the other for the girls. We did not want to share! This weekend was sure a blast. We slept in, did each other’s makeup, did spa treatment and played board games. It was just a great getaway from the world and just a great time to focus on our love for each other.

We also threw in a great photoshoot where we took turns taking each others pictures and modeled for the camera. Oh, I wish we had more time but because of the coldness, we couldn’t stay out too long. I’m glad that we were able to squeeze in a wonderful time away from the world and spend time with each other. I love my family.

Below are some pictures of my sisters and I modeling it up! Have fun!

Burgundy & Studs

I’m extremely excited for Fall fashion. I’m more of a layer type person then a bare it all so once the weather starting cooling down, I went shopping for the perfect sweater. I love this sweater because of the color and the studs on the shoulders give it an edge to it. Hope you guys likey ootd for the day. 🙂

Hello! Oh I can just remember it like yesterday. My beautiful niece Emery turned 1 on the 21st and boy was it a big 1st birthday celebration for her! She loved all of her gifts especially her smash cake. I can’t wait for many more years just to see her grow up to be an amazing woman. =)

Pink & Pleather

Hello! I’m not feeling so well the last two days and I think it has something to do with the change of weather, Ironically, I’ve been asking for cool weather a couple days ago and I get it but I’m getting sick. I can feel it in my throat and chest and etc, But today I’m posting an outfit that I never ever thought I would put together for myself to wear, Its a fitted 3/4 length pink top, black pleather skater skirt and of course my black wedges. This outfit was easygoing and flirty. I was really comfortable in it and was literally dancing half the time I was doing this shoot. Haha. Well, have a wonderful day readers,

Oh, by the way, September 1st was my sister’s birthday. Love you! ❤
